About the committee
What we do
Philadelphia is divided into 66 wards for election purposes. The 14th Ward contains the Poplar neighborhood, and the southern parts of Ludlow and Yorktown. The 14th Ward Democratic Committee is this area's local branch of the Philadelphia Democratic Party. Our core responsibility is to drive voter registration, turnout, and engagement among our residents in every election (not just presidential years) so that we elect city, state, and federal representatives who will better our community.
Who we are
Our organization is composed entirely of committeepeople who are residents of the 14th Ward. Committeepeople serve on the Ward's Democratic committee as volunteers, and are elected to the committee by 14th Ward voters every four years. We care about our neighbors and community, and work to improve the quality of life for our residents through civic engagement, endorsing and electing candidates that reflect our values, and connecting residents to constituent services.
